Beacons Park, Brecon

Welcome to Beacons Park                        Exterior

Beacons Park, located one mile from Brecon's historic town centre, offers short breaks for people with learning disabilities. Registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales, Beacons Park has provided valued respite care since 1989.

Brecon's streets are lined with Georgian and Jacobean shop fronts and the town is famous for its beautiful location, ancient Cathedral  and the annual Jazz Festival.

Other local attractions include the museum, leisure centre, golfing range and indoor market but if outdoor activities are more your thing, you can hire a boat at Llangorse Lake, take a ride on the mountain railway or visit the spectacular  Dan yr Ogof caves.

"Quite often we organise trips to Oakwood Theme park, or go mountain biking and horse riding. We try to cater to each person's interests and physical abilities but sometimes guests just want to relax with a board game" said Eirlys Davies, Service Manager for Beacons Park.
