The Private Sector Partnership Award

Partnership Award with Cymorth Cymru

Cartrefi Cymru win The Private Sector Partnership Award on 2nd December 2011 at the Holland House Hotel, Cardiff.  The Promoting Independence Award is a joint event between Cymorth Cymru and Welsh Local Authorities.

Cartrefi Cymru was nominated for The Private Sector Partnership Award for working in
partnership with Gofal and G42.  The project, based at HMP PARC Prison, focuses on reducing re-offending and ensures that people in prison have access to the support they need.  Pathways are developed to ensure they receive support in the community when they leave prison to meet their ongoing needs relating to health, housing, education and employment.

This project is funded through Lloyds TSB Foundation for a period of 3 years.  The project is now nearing the end of Year 1.

The judges looked at evidence of good practice in setting up a new partnership, developing and maintaining relationships and the delivery of shared objectives.

Wendy Wines, Area Manager for Cartrefi Cymru said "The team have worked exceptionally
well and really deserve this award.  Well done to all the team".

Adrian Roper, CEO for Cartrefi Cymru accepted the award on behalf of the Company.
