Reunited after all these years

In March this year I travelled to Newcastle with two of my support staff to see my brother Paul.  I couldn't believe that I was going to see him again. Paul always visited me with my mother and father when I lived in Bryn-Y-Neuadd but then he moved too far away to visit.Joan and Paul with Framw

When I went to see Paul it was a long journey by train 5 ½ hours, but I enjoyed it.  We travelled first class so we had plenty of room and were relaxed and comfortable, we were served a meal at our table and I enjoyed looking at the changing scenery.  Newcastle was a very big place and I enjoyed looking at all the big buildings that were very old.  I thought they were very beautiful. There were also lots of statues that I liked looking at.

I have kept in touch with my brother Paul since moving to my home in Llanfairfechan, we exchanged birthday, Christmas and holiday cards but we didn't have his phone number until quite recently.  Then this year, thanks to my fantastic support staff, I was able to make arrangements to meet him in his home town.  It had been 25 years since we last saw each other and it was simply wonderful.  I told Paul all about my home in Llanfairfechan especially about my art room, my bedroom and my garden.  I also told Paul about my good friend Marj who I live with.  Paul made me laugh a lot; he told me all about the zoos he had visited.  Paul enjoys going to zoos very much.  He told me he had tickets to go to see the panda bears in Edinburgh Zoo and he was really looking forward to seeing them.  I am so pleased that I have seen my little brother again.  Paul remembered that I used to like eating Black Magic chocolates.  I had forgotten about that!
