  Peter Higson

I live in North Wales and outside of work my main interest is anything to do with the countryside, especially trees.

I spent the first 25 years of my working life with the NHS as a Psychologist and then a manager.  I retired as Chief Executive of Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, after nine years of being involved in establishing HIW in 2004.

I carried on working in retirement and last summer was appointed as the Chair of Betsi Cadwaladr Univesity Health Board in North Wales.

I felt incredibly humbled when I was asked to consider becoming a Trustee, as I have long admired the work that Cartrefi Cymru does.  I am passionate about assiting people to realise their full potential and I hope that I can be a good Trustee.
